Lauri Borer
Lauri lives and works in Walla Walla, WA. She is one of the artist/owners of Combine Art Collective.
Originally from Florida and painting since childhood, she earned a Fine Art degree from The University of South Florida in Tampa. Lauri then studied graphic design at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She has continued to take classes and workshops around the country.
Inspired by color and light and influenced by twentieth century abstract expressionists and North American impressionists, Lauri creates both representational and abstract paintings using beeswax and pigment.
Painting with either hot wax (encaustic) or cold wax medium offers the versatility of layering transparent and opaque colors and adding textures to make a diverse range of images.
